🎉 Reflecting on a successful BLADES2BUILD Webinar!

👉 Last week, the BLADES2BUILD consortium had the pleasure of welcoming more than 40 participants from academia, industry, and the wider circular economy community to our webinar, “From Wind Blades to Building Solutions.”

🔔 The event highlighted the project’s latest achievements in transforming end-of-life wind turbine blades into valuable resources for the construction sector, demonstrating how circular innovation can contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.

💡 Participants explored a wide range of topics, including:

♻️ Recycling and valorisation pathways for wind turbine blade waste

🏗️ Circular materials and innovative building products

🧱 Sustainable applications in cement, concrete, and asphalt

📊 Environmental performance and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

🏭 Scaling up innovative solutions from laboratory research to industrial implementation

📍 The webinar also provided an excellent opportunity for discussion and knowledge exchange, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in accelerating the transition towards a circular economy.

👏 A heartfelt thank you to all our speakers for sharing their expertise and to everyone who participated, engaged in the discussions, and contributed to making the event a success.

📱 We would also like to thank all attendees who completed our QR-code feedback survey. Your valuable feedback will help us continue improving our future dissemination and engagement activities.

🙏 Together, we are proving that innovation, collaboration, and circular thinking can transform today’s waste into tomorrow’s sustainable solutions. 👏
