🎉 The 2nd BLADES2BUILD Summer School has officially come to an end! 🌍♻️

💡 Over two intensive and inspiring days at the National Technical University of Athens / R-NanoLab 🇬🇷, students, researchers, and experts explored innovative approaches for the sustainable management, recycling, and circularity of wind turbine blades and advanced composite materials.

📅 Day 2 focused on advanced processing technologies and hands-on laboratory experience, including:

🔬 Lectures on:

⚡ Carbon Fibre Production & Surface Treatments

⚡ Chemical and Electrochemical Methods for Recycling Composites

🧪 Practical laboratory activities:

🔹 Carbon fibre production and CF surface treatment

🔹 CFRP manufacturing & water jet cutting

🔹 Prepreg production

🔹 Compounding and extrusion of 3D-printing filaments

🔹 Mechanical testing of advanced composite materials

📊 The Summer School concluded with discussions on interpreting laboratory results in the context of real-world research and industrial applications, highlighting the importance of innovation and collaboration in achieving a more circular future for composite materials and renewable energy systems.

👏 Once more, a heartfelt thank you to all speakers, students, and the R-NanoLab team for making the 2nd BLADES2BUILD Summer School such a successful and engaging event!

🌱 Together, we continue building sustainable solutions for the future!
